Moving Through Menopause

Online 6 week series on Zoom

Wednesday evenings 7-8.15pm 19th Feb to 26th March

whole series £60 (no drop in available)

During the perimenopause and menopause women often experience joint pain and stiffness as well as increased levels of anxiety, low mood, difficulties sleeping and often a lack of enjoyment in ourselves and moving. In this series you can get to know yourself again, to check in, take some much needed time and attention to move and explore. There’s no need to rush or hurry, don’t hold your breath or pull your belly in. Just sink into the floor and welcome yourself back home.

We will look at strategies to calm and soothe your nervous system, move your pelvis with greater ease including clarifying your base of support (often referred to as pelvic floor functioning), movement & alignment of your spine from head to tail as well as freeing your shoulders, neck and upper back.

You’ll need floor space where you won’t be interrupted, a mat or blanket to lie on, a chair and folded towels. All classes are recorded and will be sent via Wetransfer after the class.

Suitable for beginners as well as those with prior experience.

This series will focus on becoming aware of how movements through your chest and spine can free your shoulders and arms. The lessons will build on the strength and stability gained from last series, aiming for graceful and sinuous movement through your chest and spine.

This series will be ideal for beginners  but also a great opportunity for those of you with more experience, to refine your ability to sense yourself, and ask can things be even simpler? Using your awareness you’ll have time to take a pause, tune in again to what you do and move with greater ease and grace, breathing more fully and connecting with yourself as we journey through the winter months.  As well as your movement these sessions benefit your mood and sense of well being, finding your own inner support, helping you to slow down, improve your breathing and bring space and calm to your inner world and then into your interactions with others.

All classes are recorded and will be sent by Wetransfer when you send a request via email after the class. As usual, let me know when you will be attending so I can send the Zoom link and if you come for the whole series you can swap days if you have clashes.

Please let me know in advance.

NB: We use the same Zoom link for every class. Email if you find you need it again.
