I have been building my Feldenkrais practice in Yorkshire since relocating from London in 2005, working with a wide variety of people including dancers, actors, children with disabilities, people with MS, Parkinson’s disease and strokes and those with back pain. The majority of people I see are simply looking to improve their comfort in day to day life.
Following my initial training in contemporary dance, I came across alternative approaches to working with movement and the body which really intrigued me and felt very satisfying. It was after a series of one to one Feldenkrais lessons, having done Awareness Through Movement (group classes) for many years that I felt compelled to do the professional training. I completed the Amsterdam International Feldenkrais Training (AIFT) in October 2002 and since then have been a member of the Feldenkrais Guild UK, the professional organisation responsible for maintaining standards of practice, and I fully subscribe to their Code of Ethics and requirement of professional insurance. I regularly attend Advanced Trainings to support and further develop my practice. In 2012 I was invited as an experienced practitioner to give lessons on the London Training.
I currently practice in Hebden Bridge.
